This detail page shows several photos of the book to show what a first edition looks like.  The images are original photos taken of my personal copy of the first edition book. 

The Rubber Band (1936):

• The first edition is light blue cloth with black lettering on the cover and spine.
• The Farrar & Rinehart (FR) colophon on the copyright page.
• The price ($2.00) is at the top of the front flap of the dustjacket.
• The comparison slide provided shows the difference between a first edition and a later printing.
