This detail page shows several photos of the book to show what a first edition looks like.  The images are original photos taken of my personal copy of the first edition book. 

Some Buried Caesar (1938):

• The first edition is green cloth with black lettering on the cover and spine.
• The Farrar & Rinehart (FR) colophon on the copyright page.
• The price ($2.00) is on the inside front flap of the dustjacket.  The later edition says so on the front flap.
• The back of the dustjacket is completely different on the later edition, as is the back flap.
• The copyright page on the later edition is missing the colophon and also has a paragraph at the top of the page that is not present on the first edition.
