This detail page shows several photos of the book to show what a first edition looks like.  The images are original photos taken of my personal copy of the first edition book. 

Before Midnight (1955):

• The book club edition has blue swirls on the dustjacket while the same swirls are gray on the first edition. 
• The dustjacket has some unique features:
• The front flap has the price ($2.75) at the top and colophon near the bottom. 
• The back flap on the book club edition is completely blank.  
• The title page has 1955 on it.
• The copyright page has the Library of Congress catalog number and "Printed in the USA by Colonial Press Inc." on it. 
• The book cover is light blue-gray with blue lettering on the first edition and black on the book club edition.

• The first edition measures .8" x 5.6" x 8.3"
• The book club edition measures .8" x 5.7" x 8.55"
